The innovative Erasmus + Programme, “BaskEUBall”, called Basket Change Maker, which is based on the Play, Include and Educate tripartite, took place in the city of Nea Peramos for the organisation of the 1st Tournament among the members involved, Greece, Spain and Lithuania.
About 100 people and three National missions, were on Tuesday 16/04/2024 in Nea Peramos and participated actively and with self-denial for the excellent conduct of the daily and very demanding sports program prepared by the responsible sporting officials of our Association, Head Coach Kyriako Arapi, Erasmus Coach Thodoris Karaiskos cooperation with the Gymnasium of the 2nd Elementary School Ms. Ioanna Riga.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts:
- Nea Peramos Mayor, Mr. Margeti Panagiotis for his presence, giving the prestige it deserves to such an event and his support to our requests in order to better conduct the Tournament.
- The Deputy Mayor of Sports and New Generation, Mr. Anastasio Mitsos, who was next to what we requested, took care of the preparation of the Sports Facility and well coordinated the required actions.
- The General Director of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E. O. K. ), Mr. Dino Sverkuno, who provided us with the coach of National Greece for the transportation of the missions of Lithuania and Spain to Nea Peramos and their return.
- The Guest Star, Athlete of N. E. M. Mr. Chris Bradford, who with his elaborate actions amazed young and old! The G.M. of N.E.M. Mr. Mandalos Georgio who accepted our request for the presence of N. E. M. with Elite League’s 1st scorer and Coach Mitsialos who accompanied Chris and represented our neighbouring Club well.
- The Gymnasium of the 2nd Elementary School, Ms. Ioanna Riga, for her active participation at all stages, from the conception to the implementation of the 1st Tournament in our city.
- The Head Coach of our Club Mr. Arapi Kyriakos and the Special Coach for the BaskEUball program, Mr. Karaisko Thodoris, for their full-day presence at the Tournament and the support of athletes from all countries.
- o And the involved employees of the Municipality who carried out a particularly demanding event.
Closing, it is worth noting that thanks to the above we took credit from all the partners for the organisation and the outstanding Greek hospitality.
